Dead-Space-3-demoSince January 22, horror fans have been downloading the Dead Space 3 demo in their droves. Today, Electronic Arts has announced that said demo has been downloaded via Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network nearly 2 million times.

In a bit of an awareness campaign, EA has also revealed some other stats on the hype surrounding Isaac Clarke’s upcoming outing, which we saw thanks to GameSpot.

Apparently, the game was mentioned by the general public over 100,000 times on social media in the last week, and has also garnered 90,000 extra “likes” on its Facebook page. To some, this may seem trivial, yet nowadays social media is a true reflection of how popular/notable your product is.

I’m sure many of you reading this have played the demo and are eagerly anticipating the full game. Well, you won’t have to wait long for the GodisaGeek verdict on Dead Space 3 as our review will go live tomorrow afternoon.

Dead Space 3 will be released on February 8 in Europe and February 5 in Europe for Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3
