Tomb Raider Monastery to Medical Helicopter Walkthrough

Tomb-Raider-WalkthroughSquare Enix have released a walkthrough for Tomb Raider showing a number of Lara’s combat and traversal abilities, with a big emphasis on ‘Fluid Cover’.

The video, narrates by creative director Noah Hughes, is an extended re-run of E3 2012’s stage demo – water slide and all – that incorporates some of Lara’s tools, such as a rope arrow, in a number of combat and exploration based scenarios.

There’s a strong emphasis on the combat, and Lara’s ability to intelligently initiate the bloodbaths in particular, but the walkthrough also mentions Lara returning to previously visited areas and does a good job of selling the non-sticky cover system that developers Crystal Dynamics have in place.

It’s also nice to see some uninterrupted gameplay as while the Tomb Raider Survival Guides were nice they didn’t expose the game quite as much as this linear snippet does.

Square Enix have also promising a second video that looks at how enemies adjust their attacks depending on Lara’s approach to combat alongside an introduction to the Challenge Tombs.

Tomb Raider will be released on March 5 for Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3
