Nvidia Show off Real-time Destruction in Tech Demo

Nvidia-Show-off-Real-time-Destruction-in-Tech-DemoWith every passing day, it seems like someone’s showing off some new engine, or tech that looks more impressive than the last. 

Nvidia’s research lead for PhysX has uploaded a video to YouTube which shows off their new “dynamic fracture” tech.

The video, which you can see below, shows an old building get absolutely obliterated in real-time. With every mouse click, rubble and dust flies everywhere and it’s genuinely fascinating.

It’s running on a solo GTX 680 at 30 frames per second, with more improvements coming in the future, apparently.

As the tech advances, the feats that can be achieved are more and more staggering. Check out this impressive video, below.
