Call of Duty: Ghosts Retail Listing Appears Online

Call-of-Duty-Ghosts-Retail-Listing-Appears-OnlineSo, it looks like they’re dropping the Modern Warfare suffix then? About a month ago, rumours were circulating the net about Call of Duty: Ghosts. A YouTube personality was claiming that he had an inside man who claimed that Ghosts would be the next game in the CoD universe and it seems like that is the case.

Some eagle-eyed person at MCV spotted a listing on Tesco Direct – which has since been removed – for the unannounced game. The release date was down as December 31, but there’s no question that it was just a placeholder. Mid-November is a safe bet.

Along with that, the box art named Modern Warfare studio Infinity Ward as the developer, which is to be expected as last year’s Black Ops was a Treyarch effort. Why they dropped the powerful Modern Warfare name? It’s difficult to say, really. Of course, there’s a chance that this isn’t 100% fact, but we can say with a fair amount of certainty that Ghosts will be the title of the next game in Activision’s ever-popular Call of Duty series.
