Jermey Snead and Mediajuice Studios have just concluded a year’s worth of filming interviews with some of video games’ biggest names from Nolan Bushnell to Cliff Bleszinski and everyone in between, including some celebrities that are just fans of the medium.

They have been filming for their documentary – Video Games: The Movie. Director Jeremy Snead said that the aim of this movie is to educate people on the rich history of interactive entertainment and also tackle some of those constant issues that are always rearing their ugly heads. Mediajuice are using Kickstarter to fund post-production on the film and also to get some additional interviews with some of the key figures that will be integral to the forthcoming next generation.

“We have spent the past year gathering footage, speaking with industry founders, influencers, and pundits to get their take on what we’ve collectively created as an industry and where we’re headed. We’ve amassed an amazing library of footage that we think will help bring the true story of the video game industry into clear focus. We’re now headed into post-production and are looking to the community to get us to the finish line. We are on Kickstarter to generate enough funding to create the type of film the video game industry deserves.”

You can have a look at the Kickstarter pitch video below. The project has 34 days to raise $60,000. If you want to back the project, you can do so by heading over to Mediajuice’s page.
