New Toy Box Racing Trailer Released For Disney Infinity

by on May 29, 2013

For some time Disney Interactive Studios have been working on their answer to the Activision Skylanders figure-based video game series – entitled Disney Infinity. The release date of the game is fast approaching, with a release in August currently slated, so the team are ramping up the excitement for fans with a new trailer.

This latest video shows off the Toy Box Racing mode, where players will be able to use the in-game Toy Box tools to create their own racing games, within Disney Infinity. Gamers will be able to build tracks, using the extensive parts and tools included, and then race their own way. Want to have a traditional kart-based race? Sure, go for it. Prefer to race on foot, or on horseback? That is an option too. You will be able to customise and race however you want.

The trailer shows a huge variety of different racers and options, and along with the last Toy Box trailer that Disney released, we really get a good idea of the scope for customisation and creation that is in the game. The title is shaping up nicely to be a different alternative to Skylanders, whilst maintaining the core idea of using physical figures and a portal for interaction. Disney Infinity could be a real rival to the as-yet-undisputed crown.
