EA Sports Show UFC E3 Teaser Trailer
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has grown wildly over the last decade or so to become one of the premier sporting organisations in the world. Surpassing its old competitor professional wrestling, UFC now vies with professional Boxing in terms of the big money events and show-downs.
However the UFC video game franchise has been in limbo since the bankruptcy and subsequent liquidation of assets at previous developers THQ. Now is time for the series to hit back – as new publishers EA Sports are set to reveal the new UFC title at E3 this week. EA Canada have been teasing the game for some time, and a new teaser trailer released earlier promises that the game will be revealed at E3 today (possibly tomorrow by UK time).
Whilst the THQ UFC games were very solid affairs, it will be very exciting to see the extra level of spit and polish that EA can add to the genre. Although they nailed the core gameplay, THQ always struggled with the career mode and extraneous options – areas in which EA Sports games usually excel. This could be a real contender.
