Phil Spencer’s Not Opposed to Seeing the Crackdown Series Return
Responding to a fan on Twitter, it looks like Phil Spencer would be keen to see Crackdown make a comeback.
Thanks to CVG, we’ve seen that when a fan asked the corporate VP at Microsoft Studios whether the game was still important to Microsoft, Spencer replied:
“Crackdown is important to me. Given right team and time its a franchise I’d like to see return…”
At the Xbox One reveal event, when the new dashboard was being presented, there was an instance where a Crackdown orb appeared to be shown on-screen. However, we haven’t seen game in the series since 2010, so it’s difficult to say whether Microsoft do genuinely see it as a top-tier franchise.
It sure would be fun to see it make a comeback, though.
