Pokémon X and Y Gets Worldwide October Release Date

by on June 11, 2013

The latest instalment of the Pokémon series has a release date.

On Saturday, October 12 of this year, Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will be released on Nintendo 3DS. The best thing about this is that this release date applies to gamers across the world.

A new type of Pokémon is also joining the fold – Fairy Pokémon. This, the 18th type, is especially powerful against Dragon type and our first introduction to the Fairy type comes in the form of newly announced Sylveon, which is an evolution of Eevee. Jigglypuff, Marill and Gardevoir were also said to be joining the class. The Flying and Dragon type Noivern and Bug and Flying type Vivillon were also revealed at Nintendo’s E3 Direct presentation.

Pokémon-Amie is a brand new way in which Pokémon players will interact with their pocket monsters in X and Y. This new feature is similar to a Tamagotchi or virtual pet of some sort as you can feed, and care for Pokémon by using the stylus on your 3DS screen.
