Scorpion Is Coming to Injustice: Gods Among Us

by on June 3, 2013

Injustice: Gods Among Us was very well-received at launch, and garnered some good commercial success as well (read our full review here). Batgirl was the first DLC character announced for the game, but now creators NetherRealm have announced that one of their old friends will be coming to the game soon.

Scorpion, the famous Undead Ninja from the Mortal Kombat series, will be the next downloadable character who will be added to the game, with this character model being designed by Jim Lee, renowned artist and Co-Publisher at DC Entertainment. The exact release date hasn’t been confirmed, but Scorpion will be available on Xbox LIVE for 400 Microsoft Points and PlayStation Network at a price of £3.99.

Many Mortal Kombat fans had already predicted that NetherRealm would be likely to bring Scorpion to the game sooner or later – him being so iconic for the fighting game series – and we even mentioned it on our very own Godcast. How well Scorpion – who relies on brutal moves and fatalities – will fit in with the DC heroes and villains remains to be seen.
