New Screenshots For Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments

by on June 8, 2013

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments will be coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC later this year, as the latest in the long series of games focused on the World’s Greatest Detective from Frogwares Games. We saw some new screenshots for the game last month, and now Frogwares are gearing up for E3 with even more to show off.

The latest images really show how the title has developed since we last saw it – really making the most of the new use of the Unreal Engine 3 with immersive environments and more detailed character models. The game is going to be revealed in full to press at E3 next week, so we can expect to hear a lot more new information about the game over the coming days. This will include many new gameplay mechanics – with Frogwares promising 14 different investigation techniques within the new title.

Crimes & Punishments looks like it will take the Sherlock Holmes games to a new level, in terms of both visuals and gameplay. The old Frogwares engine was getting a bit tired, so it is a delight to see the developments made with Unreal Engine 3. The addition of new gameplay mechanics and the promise of difficult moral choices for the player make this a very interesting prospect – especially with the current popularity of the Sherlock Holmes character.
