Watch Hotline Miami 2’s Opening Gameplay Sequence
The first seven minutes of gameplay from Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number has been released.
Uploaded courtesy of VG24/7, it is the first gameplay footage of the hyper-violent sequel.
Dennaton Games’ Wrong Number follows a film production charting the murderous rampage of the first game’s protagonist and fans of the film who believe him to be a hero rather than the villain being portrayed on film.
They seek to carry on his work, hoping to receive their own mysterious phone calls, like those that started each mission in the first game, by killing criminal thugs.
Hotline Miami’s tone, gameplay and soundtrack are pretty much unchanged for the sequel, which given the small amount of time since the first game’s release last year is expected.
Of course given the success of the original and praise it received for its refreshing gameplay, I’m sure I won’t be the only one looking forward to a sequel.
