WWE 2K14 30 Years of Wrestlemania Roster Announced

by on August 19, 2013

Last year, WWE 13 had the Attitude Era mode, where players recreated some of the most monumental moments from the most successful period in the history of the company, the mid nineteen-nineties. It was announced last week that this year, the major campaign mode would be entitled 30 Years of Wrestlemania – charting the history of the biggest show on the WWE calendar.

The mode will take players back through the massive back catalogue of huge matchups and feuds that have taken place at Wrestlemania over the years, with optional historical scenarios to complete and lots of special effects added to “age” the game. Of course, with such a historically-themed mode, we had to expect a historical roster, and that has just been announced via Kotaku.

The line-up of superstars for the 30 Years of Wrestlemania mode are as follows:

  • Alberto Del Rio
  • Andre the Giant
  • Batista
  • Big John Studd
  • Big Show
  • Big Show (Retro)
  • Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart
  • Brock Lesnar
  • Brock Lesnar (Retro)
  • Chris Jericho
  • Chris Jericho (Retro)
  • CM Punk
  • Diesel
  • Edge
  • Goldberg
  • Hulk Hogan
  • ‘Hollywood’ Hulk Hogan
  • JBL
  • John Cena
  • John Cena (Retro)
  • Kane (Retro)
  • King Kong Bundy
  • Mick Foley
  • Randy Orton
  • ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage
  • Razor Ramon
  • Ric Flair
  • Ric Flair (Retro)
  • Ricky The Dragon Steamboat
  • Sergeant Slaughter
  • Shawn Michaels
  • Shawn Michaels (Retro)
  • ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin

  • The Miz
  • The Rock
  • The Rock (Retro)
  • Triple H
  • Triple H (Retro)
  • Ultimate Warrior
  • Undertaker
  • Undertaker (Retro)
  • Yokozuna

Not including the modern and retro versions of each character, that is a roster of 33 individual grapplers – and that is just for this mode alone – you can expect even more fighters in the main game. The inclusion of wrestlers such as Yokozuna and Razor Ramon, who haven’t featured in WWE titles for many years, is bound to please long-time fans in particular. It will be fun to see just how this new mode will play out in the full game.
