SimCity Cities Of Tomorrow Expansion Announced

by on September 20, 2013

EA has announced an expansion pack for SimCity.

Cities of Tomorrow will take the city-planning sim 50 years into the future, and will be released on November 12.

“Mayors will shape the destinies of their cities,” reads EA’s press release “Thriving in a utopia of clean technologies, or a dystopia of hyper-commercialism.”

Patrick Buechner, General Manager at Maxis Emeryville says: “With SimCity Cities of Tomorrow, players can build the future as they imagine it. Transport your Sims on MagLev, power your cities with fusion reactors or tidal wave generators, manufacture a legion of drones to serve your Sims and build massive MegaTowers that dwarf modern skyscrapers.

“We’re giving you plausible technologies to take your cities onto a journey 50 years into the future. What will you create?”

The pack will also include an exclusive all-new disaster.

SimCity was released earlier this year to what can be described as an omni-shambles of epic proportions. The online-only title drew a ton of criticism but Maxim still refuse to include an offline mode.
