UK Chart: Call of Duty Fends Off Marvel Superheroes To Keep Top Spot

by on November 18, 2013

Even 150-odd Lego Marvel Superheroes (and villains) couldn’t stop the Call of Duty juggernaut from keeping its spot at the top of the UK video game chart.

Activision’s Call of Duty: Ghosts remains top dog for a second week despite a 76 per cent fall in sales.

Lego’s latest videogame was still a big success however, becoming the biggest launch in the series since Lego Indiana Jones in 2008.

Otherwise it was a disappointing week for new releases. Ratchet and Clank Nexus debuted at 21 while XCOM: Enemy Within entered at 25.

The rest of the chart is pretty standard fare, with all the big hitters retaining their place in the top 10 ahead of this week’s Xbox One launch.

The full top 10 is as follows…

1) Call of Duty: Ghosts
2) Lego Marvel Superheroes
3) Fifa 14
4) Assassins’ Creed IV: Black Flag
5) Battlefield 4
6) Grand Theft Auto V
7) Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition
8) Skylanders Swap Force
9) Batman: Arkham Origins
10) Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy
