New Festive Trailer For Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure
It has been over fifteen years since the last Tex Murphy adventure game was released by Access Software, but thanks to a recent Kickstarter success the sixth game in the series is well into development. Entitled Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure, the game sees the return of the last Gumshoe in the galaxy, the titular Tex Murphy, who lays down his own brand of law in the 2040’s.
The game will feature 3D modelled environments, but will also heavily make use of full motion video – the hallmark style of the series. In fact, the Tex Murphy series are some of the few truly popular and successful FMV games ever made. The project sees the return of popular characters, including the original Tex actor, and although there is no firm release date as of yet, it is planned for release via GOG.com in early 2014.
