PS4 Sells over 4 Million Worldwide
Yesterday, Sony Computer Entertainment President Andrew House announced that more than 4.2 million PS4s have been sold worldwide.
The figure, correct as of December 28, puts sales of the Playstation 4 ahead of Xbox One, which Microsoft earlier this week announced had sold 3 million in 2013.
It puts Sony on track to meet their target of 5 million units sold by March.
Alongside the hardware figures, Sony also announced that over 9.7 million pieces of PS4 software had been sold over the holiday season, and both retail and digitally.
Sales figures for the new consoles remain pretty pointless at the moment however, with sales determined by how quickly stores can be restocked.
