Namco Stunt Puts Pac-Man on SEGA Building

by on February 25, 2014

In regards to promoting a game, it’s nice to see someone do something a little different from the normal cycle, as Namco Bandai (using stealth and subterfuge, I reckon) projected Pac-Man upon the SEGA building in London.

If you were driving on the M4 (and bare with me, this isn’t traffic news) on Monday 24th of February (at night, obviously), you’ll have seen “PAC IS BACK” and a huge Pac-Man right underneath Sonic. It’s all in aid of the March 7th release of Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures. Of course, we’ll bring you a review and some video content when the time is nigh, but until then, enjoy Pac-Man, on SEGA’s (London) face.

Namco Bandai tell us that the plug was pulled after five minutes, as security guards were informed by local authorities about the prank.

“We wanted to be cheeky, create some fun, but obviously do it quietly. Something that’s hard to do in the game’s industry, but slightly easier at midnight. We hope Sega aren’t offended, more delighted” commented Lee Kirton PR & Marketing Director Bandai Namco Games UK.
