The Crew Gameplay Premiere Surprisingly Lacks Gameplay

by on April 8, 2014

UbiSoft have confirmed that The Crew, it’s big open world multiplayer racing game, will be launching on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC this fall.

They also took the time to release a new ‘gameplay’ trailer, which is all cinematic angles and erratic camera movements.

Don’t get me wrong, the game is already looking better than the ropey reveal from last E3, but there’s little honest in this slice of visual stimulation.

Anyway, here’s what UbiSoft had to say on the matter. ‘The Crew is a revolutionary action-driving game that takes gamers on an exhilarating ride throughout a massive, open-world recreation of the United States, brimming with exciting challenges and populated by other real players.

The Crew’s worldwide premiere gameplay trailer, released today, shows four cars, each with different tuning specs and riding in an iconic region of the United States, forming a crew to continue their journey together across the living, breathing open-world.’

So yay. Drivin’ cars. The game sounds ambitious, certainly, so hopefully we’ll get some actual gameplay soon.
