Turtle Beach Unveil New PS4 Headsets

by on June 9, 2014

E3 has started with a wave of new headset announcements. First came Mad Catz and now Turtle Beach has got in on the action.

The first new device is the Turtle Beach Elite 800, a premium wireless headset that uses DTS Headphone:X 7.1 surround sound and active noise cancellation. The headset offers multiple preset configurations to suit different types of games all of which can be customized by a mobile app. The rechargeable battery will give up to 15 hours of playtime off a single charge. The Elite 800 will be available later this year for PS4 and PS3, but no pricing was given.

Also announced was The Elite Tournament Audio Controller, which is basically a mix amp that allows you to change the volumes of different things, such as game and voice, on the fly. The controller can also accommodate your mobile phone for music or voice calls if that’s your sort of thing. The Elite Tournament Audio Controller will also be available this year.

The Ear Force Stealth 400 is a lightweight wireless headset for the PS4 and PS3, which focuses on comfort. That’s not to say sound quality is compromised as the device features acoustically angled, large 50mm Neodymium speakers. The mic can also be replaced with a cable to turn them into a more traditional set of headphones. The Ear Force Stealth 400 will also be available at some point this year.
