Square Enix & DONTNOD Announce Life Is Strange

by on August 11, 2014

DONTNOD, the developers of Remember Me, are back with a brand new game known as Life is Strange.

The game is described as a “brand new, episodic, digitally delivered, narrative driven adventure game”.

Fortunately they also went on to describe it in a bit more detail revealing that the game takes place in the fictional town of Arcadia Bay, Oregon. Max Caulfield returns to the town after 5 years and is reunited with school friend Chloe. The pair then tries to discover exactly what happened to their school friend Rachel Amber who disappeared.

The game will feature a unique hand drawn art style and a compelling story full of choices. Oh and did I mention that Max can rewind time? No? My bad.

Life is Strange will launch on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Jean-Max Moris, Creative Director at DONTNOD Entertainment had this to say about the game.

“Everybody at DONTNOD is excited to be working on such a refreshing title”

“We’re not only crafting the best game we possibly can, we also feel we’re providing the type of experience that perfectly fits today’s renewed taste for originality and diversity”.

Then Jon Brooke, VP Brand and European Marketing Square Enix Europe (who are publishing the game) added this.

“When we first saw LIFE IS STRANGE we immediately realised that DONTNOD have created a unique experience, something special”

“Everyone who’s seen the game has instantly fallen in love with its distinctive style and mood”.
