giffgaff Getting Involved in eSports with £10,000 LoL Tournament

by on September 29, 2014

Mobile phone network giffgaff have announced that they are organising a League of Legends tournament that is open to everyone.

The event will mainly take place online but the final eight teams will be invited to the Insomnia 53 event this November to battle it out in a LAN setting for a piece of the £10,000 prize pool.

If you want to enter the competition you just need a team (5 players), time to commit to playing the tournament and of course an awesome team name. You also need to sign up on the giffgaff eSports site before October 5th.

If you don’t think you are ready to enter the world of competitive LoL you should head over to giffgaff’s site and take a look at their eSports content. Starting next month they will also have some helpful videos from the likes of Michael ‘Odee’ O’Dell (Team Dignitas) and William ‘Scarra’ Li (North American League of Legends Team Coach) to give you an edge in Summoner’s Rift.
