As we approach the busy season (Destiny is out tomorrow, for goodness sake!), there’s bound to be some cracking articles written out there on the internet, so here’s four of our favourites from four indie sites we like.

The Average Gamer: SNES Scrolling Beat ’em ups

Final Fight 2 featured

Wow, this is right in my wheelhouse. Thankfully for Kevin Kissane over on The Average Gamer, he includes a cursory nod to Streets of Rage 2, one of the best games of the retro era, for my money. But this is a fascinating reminder of some of those classics, lost to a genre we just don’t see anything of these days.
