Kickstarter Title War For The Overworld Also Coming To Retail

by on September 12, 2014

Subterranean Games successfully completed a Kickstarter project for their dungeon management game War For The Overworld last year – raising over £210,000 to fund a digital release. However, now the title has also been picked up by PC game publisher Sold Out for a boxed retail release as a special Underlord Edition. The title will obviously draw comparisons with Dungeon Keeper and Overlord, but the developers are looking to take gameplay elements from those classic titles and update it with some modern polish and refinements.

In War for the Overworld you have the power to create vast dungeons filled with hordes of evil minions who share a common goal: to crush the bones of the goodly heroes that dare to enter your unhallowed halls. You will command mighty armies, create vicious traps and cast dastardly spells to overcome the pitifully gallant armies that defend foolish principles such as “honour” and “righteousness” — it’s going to be more fun than taking candy from a baby…

War For The Overworld is currently set for digital and retail release in February 2015. The two versions will be priced as follows: Standard Edition: 22.99/€27.99/$29.99, Underlord Edition: £29.99/€36.99/$39.99. In addition to the game itself, the Underlord Edition will include: Install disk, a Steam key, and a pretty box, a Digital copy of the Soundtrack & Dungeoneer’s guide to the Underworld, Access to the Sovereign Dungeon Theme and Access to the Arcane Fortress Dungeon Theme See the official trailer and screenshots below: [nggallery id=1779]
