by on September 23, 2014

Nintendo have revealed two new variations of their 2DS system, with Red and Blue Transparent versions of the little handheld coming this November.

Those of you wise (old) enough to have owned a Game Boy Colour will remember which version was the coolest. Yep, thats right, the translucent blue one. It was awesome, I mean, you could see the INSIDES!

Nintendo is bringing that 90’s awesomeness back with avengence, with the announcement of transparent red and blue 2DS’s – these will be availble to purchase from November 7th in the UK. Nintendo also plan to launch the new colours as bundles with Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire from 28th November.

We can also reveal details on how Pokéfans will be able to get their hands on the Special Demo Version of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. The special demo version  features gameplay that players won’t experience anywhere else. During the course of this early adventure, players are likely to encounter a familiar Pokémon that can now Mega Evolve. What’s more, this Mega-Evolved Pokémon can be brought into the full Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire games. Reward items obtained during the Special Demo Version adventure can also be brought into the full game.

The Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version will be available in the UK from Game, Amazon, Smyth Toys Superstores, ShopTo and the Nintendo UK Official Store from the 15th October until launch.
