Sponsored: What can we Expect from Apple in 2015?

by on December 22, 2014

Apple has taken the world by storm in recent times, with the release of the iOS 8 and iPhone 6 having propelled the brand to the summit of the smartphone market. This trend looks to set to continue in 2015, during which time brand enthusiasts can look forward to the launch of a new operating system upgrade, a new smartphone and even the highly anticipated Apple watch. So although Apple is unlikely to break as much new ground as it did during 2014, there is every chance that it will consolidate its recent growth and create an ever more user-friendly experience.

With this in minds, what exactly should Apple enthusiasts look for in 2015?

The Apple Watch

Despite continually innovating to improve iPad, iPhone and Mac range, it has been five years since Apple launched a genuinely new product. 2015 heralds the brands’ shift into the burgeoning wearable technology market; however, as the release of the highly anticipated Apple watch is scheduled for spring next year. A response to the hugely successful range of Android smart watches and the upcoming launch of the Microsoft Band, it boasts a contemporary and stylish design while also enabling users to sync the device with their iPhone and all affiliated Apple devices.

A Revamped iTunes Store and a Higher Volume of Applications

Apple is among the most intelligent and forward-thinking brands in the world, so it is unlikely to have organised the launch of a wearable tech product without coordinating this with the release of multiple new applications. Customers’ can therefore expect the release of more applications and games in the New Year, in a bid to compete with the Google Play store and create a more immersive user experience. In a bid to capitalise on the improved capabilities of graphics engine ‘Metal’, Apple will be particularly keen to provide users with access to a wider library of games and experiences such as the mobile casino gaming by Royal Vegas.

The iOS 9 and the iPhone 6s

While Apple has adopted the Google-inspired approach of consistently looking to evolve and improve, it knows how to pace this advancement and deliver carefully prepared technologies. If the brand therefore sticks to type and follows its growth plan to date, it will follow a year of huge innovation with one of forward-thinking consolidation, with minor updates such as the iOS 9 and the iPhone 6s scheduled for the autumn of 2015. These will most likely deliver minimal upgrades and correct glaring technical glitches, before the technology is evolved more drastically twelve months later in 2016.
