Club Nintendo to Close
Nintendo has announced that it is to close its Club Nintendo programme after seven years.
The scheme, which itself followed on from 2002’s VIP 24:7 and Club Member loyalty programmes, will close in three stages over the year. As of April 1st product registration cards will no longer be included in retail boxes, with digital purchases no longer contributing from April 20th. Finally, on September 30th the programmer will close for good, with members no longer to make star purchases.
A new scheme will be replacing Club Nintendo, but there are no details as of yet.
