Pokkén Tournament Reveals More Details of The Tekken Inspired Pokémon Mash Up

by on January 23, 2015

Namco Bandai hosted a mini Pokkén tournament today, and luckily for us, they decided to stream the whole thing over the net. Want some more details? Read on my friend, read on..

Tekken boss Katsuhiro Harada kicks off proceedings in the recorded stream you can see below. Six battles in total feature, with Pikachu taking out some of that built up yellow rage on an unsuspecting Lucario. We get our first look at a legendary Pokémon, Suiciune, and also my favorite Pokédude growing up, Machamp. Just look at those muscles.

Battles takes place in a 3D arena, with players able to maneuver their Pokémon freely about the arena, 3D platformer style. All we know about the release is that the Poké-beat-em-up will be exclusive to Japanese arcades, appearing soon, with details of a possible console release still under wraps. Check out the video stream, and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments section.
