Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor Wins 8 DICE Awards, but Dragon Age Claims GOTY

by on February 6, 2015

Even though Monolith’s Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor managed to claim eight of the nine awards they were nominated for, including outstanding achievements in both game direction and design, they were beaten out for the big prize by Dragon Age: Inquisition, in the 18th annual DICE awards, as the RPG was named the years best.

It came to a slight surprise to the audience, who after seeing Shadow of Mordor win so much, were surprised to see Inquisition take the last award of the night – but the brief astonishment was swiftly followed rapturous applause.

This years awards were hosted by comedian podcaster Pete Homes, who joins the likes of Freddie Wong, Felicia Day and Jay Mohr, who’ve all hosted the awards in the past.

We here at God is a Geek massively enjoyed both Shadow of Mordor and Dragon Age, and you can read the reviews for each by clicking here and here.
