Codemasters Announce F1 2015

by on March 26, 2015

Codemasters has officially announced F1 2015 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, launching in June. It was announced back in July that F1 2014 would not be gracing the new consoles, and that there would be a next-gen version following some time after.

F1 2015 boasts an all-new game engine, built specifically for the PS4 and Xbox One, which should be an improvement over the ageing one used in the F1 games so far, apparently offering “a significant step forward in the physics-based handling model of the game,” with a brand new tyre physics model alongside engine, transmission and suspension tweaks.

All the tracks from this year’s F1 World Championship will be included – so no Germany I guess F1 fans – as will the 2014 Championship. Alongside the regular season mode, there is a new Pro Season mode, which sets the physics to their most realistic. A new broadcast-style presentation includes grid and podium sequences – I would love Murray Walker – are included, as are voice commands to your race engineer via Kinect or the Playstation Camera or a mic.
