EnVyUs Win Gfinity Spring Masters

by on March 23, 2015

Team EnVyUs emerged victorious at the Gfinity CS:GO Spring Masters I over the weekend.

The event was the first to be held at Gfinity’s new eSports arena, which saw some of the biggest names in the Counter Strike world compete for a share of the $50,000 prize pool.

Both Team EnVyUs and NiP made it to the final, NiP took the first game, but then EnVyUs took the next three games on de_cache, de_dust2 and de_cobblestone to claim the win and $25,000. NiP took home $15,000 for 2nd place. Elsewhere Virtus.Pro took third and $7,000 while Cloud 9 took 4th and $3,000.

Apart from some minor technical issues on day one the event can certainly be considered a massive success for Gfinity. I have only heard positive things about the venue and the event posted some great viewing figures across the weekend. Add in a sell out for championship Sunday and things are looking great for eSports in the UK.
