Avalanche Studios Release Mad Max ‘In the Wasteland’ Short Documentary

by on August 26, 2015

With under a week to go until its release, Mad Max developers Avalanche Studios has released a short documentary about the main car from the game, the Magnus Opus being built from scratch in real life, courtesy of world famous car mechanics and restyling outfit, West Coast Customs (from Pimp My Ride!).

The documentary called ‘In the Wasteland’ features snippets of game footage, but is more of a personal look into the Lead Artist Daniel Persson and Director of Narrative Content Odd Ahlgren’s pride and joy, the uniquely designed Magnus Opus come to life. Rarely do developers get a chance to see anything remotely like this happen and it is quite clear from the video that Daniel and Odd are overwhelmed by the whole experience. They even get to take the beast of a car to Wasteland Weekend, a celebration of all things post-apocalyptic in the Mojave Desert. It’s definitely worth a watch, and if you are excited by the game itself, you’ll get a closer look at the vehicle you’ll be able to drive around the wasteland in.

Mad Max is released on September 1 for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
