Batman: A Telltale Game Series Coming 2016

by on December 4, 2015

Telltale Games, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced that a brand new episodic series featuring the Dark Knight will be coming to phones, PCs and consoles in 2016.

“At Telltale, we’ve been honored to bring our unique approach to interactive storytelling to some of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be exploring what it means to be Batman in an all-new series starting next year,” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games. “This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.”

Whilst no plot or title has officially been announced, to go into the psyche of Batman has a great deal of potential, and being the one who makes the choices as the masked vigilante of Gotham will open up a whole new avenue for fans of the bat. It will also be interesting to see whether they take the serious approach, or go with a more light-hearted look similar to Lego Batman and the Adam West iteration of the 60s.

Either way, Batman is coming, so prepare to dance with the devil in the pale moonlight.
