Fast becoming the indie publisher du jour, Team 17 has announced that sixteen-year-old developer Anthony Tan of Studio Happy Bee has signed to publish the highly anticipated Way to the Woods.

Way to the Woods hit the front page of reddit last month and caught the attention from Sean Murray, founder of the studio behind No Man’s Sky, who tweeted screenshots from the game.

Speaking about the signing, Debbie Bestwick, CEO of Team17 had this to say: “Way to the Woods is an absolutely beautiful, unique looking game and upon speaking with Anthony, we could not have been more impressed. He’s an incredibly mature person for his age with a very bright future ahead of him and it’s mind blowing what he’s achieved thus far. Team 17 is helping nurture a number of studios around the world and I personally can’t wait to help Anthony achieve his goals. We’re extremely excited to be here to share his journey with him.”

Way to the Woods is a third-person adventure game where you play as a deer and her fawn, exploring a strange world filled with surreal imagery. As yet there are no details on release date, but as soon as we hear we will update you.
