UK Charts round-up week two: Black Ops III remains strong.

by on January 18, 2016

We are already two weeks in to 2016 and it appears there is no let up from Call of Duty: Black Ops III which is still holding the number one position in the UK charts and has done for the past six weeks. For statistics fans, this is the longest unbroken run in the “All Formats Chart” since FIFA 15 held on to the top spot for six consecutive weeks in 2014.

In second place, Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto has jumped two places to its highest position since week 34 in 2015 no doubt helped by the latest update to the enormously popular Online mode just before Christmas.

FIFA 16 slips to third place, with Star Wars: Battlefront dropping one place to position four, just ahead of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Siege which is in fifth place.

With no new titles out this week, the remaining five places in the top 10 are taken with familiar games: Just Cause 3 climbs two places to position six, while WWE 2K16 is a non-mover at seven. Fallout 4 drops to position eight, the first time it has been out of the top five, while Lego Jurassic World and Minecraft: Xbox Edition both find themselves back in the Top 10 in positions nine and ten respectively.
