Twitch and Super Evil Megacorp partner to improve Vainglory eSports

by on March 31, 2016

Twitch and Vainglory developers Super Evil Megacorp have partnered in order to pump millions of dollars into Vainglory eSports.

The three year deal will see both companies work together to further the competitive Vainglory scene in both Europe and the US. Twitch will assist with running live events, sponsorship and merch sales and some of the technical aspects as well as promoting Vainglory streams during major events.

The Vainglory Winter Championships, which concluded just a few weeks ago, brought in over one and a half million views on twitch, a significant improvement over the last event in December last year. This new partnership with Twitch hopes to improve those numbers even further

“We’ve been working closely with Twitch since even before the global launch of Vainglory, and their massive, wildly passionate gaming community has helped our game develop a loyal and growing following,” said Kristian Segerstrale, COO and executive director at Super Evil Megacorp. “By working with Twitch in this new and expanded capacity, we’re going to be able to bring our eSports programming to the next level and provide better and more frequent coverage to fans.”
