Watch_Dogs Film Fest wants your short films

Ubisoft has announced the first ever Watch_Dogs film fest, and has prizes to give out for the best short film based around hacking.

Entries will need to be between 5 seconds and 5 minutes long (not over or under) and will be judged by The Transporter and Now you See Me director Louis Leterrier as well as Thomas Geffroyd and Jonathan Morin from Ubisoft’s Watch_Dogs team. Other requirements are that it must be based around hacking, it must feature a smart phone and it must be original.

The contest is in partnership with parrot, PlayStation and YouTube with a fairly substantial prize pool that can see the winner walking away with €50,000:

  • Grand Jury prize: 50 000€ cash & 2 tickets for Assassin’s Creed movie premiere
  • Jury “Coup de Coeur” prize: 10 000€ cash, 2 tickets for Assassin’s Creed movie premiere, a PS4®Pro, the Watch_Dogs 2 – The Return of Dedsec Collector’s Case and, one Parrot Bebop 2.
  • Public vote prize: 5 000€ cash, one Watch Dogs 2 PlayStation 4 Bundle, one Parrot Bebop 2 and one Parrot Jumping Sumo.
  • Influencer prize: one Watch Dogs 2 PlayStation 4 Bundle, one Parrot Bebop 2 and one Parrot Jumping Sumo, per content creator.

Once you have filmed your masterpiece you’ll need to upload it to the Film Fest website and wait for the votes to roll in. Entries need to be in between October 15 and November 15.

Watch_Dogs 2 is out on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 15.
