Monolith Productions and Warner Brothers just announced Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.

Shadow of War is a sequel to Shadow of Mordor. It features an original story as you forge an army to battle Sauron. Check out the trailer below:

Here’s what the Vice President, Creative, at Monolith Productions Michael de Plater had to say:

“Following the amazing reception to Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, we massively expanded every dimension of the game, including the world, the story, the RPG systems, the core gameplay and of course the personal player stories of the Nemesis System. As lifelong fans of Middle-earth, we are so grateful to have the privilege to bring to life the most incredible fantasy world ever created in a new way, for a new generation. With Middle-earth: Shadow of War, we can’t wait to see the amazing stories players are going to create and share.”

Middle Earth: Shadow of War is also an Xbox Play Anywhere title. This includes the Project Scorpio version. This means buying it digitally on Xbox will give you access to Shadow of War on Xbox One, Project Scorpio, and Windows 10. Progress and DLC all carry over letting you pickup where you left off on another Play Anywhere platform.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War will be available for PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Project Scorpio, Windows 10, and Steam on August 25.
