Blossom Tales on Nintendo Switch crossed Steam’s lifetime revenue 20 times over in just 3 months
Blossom Tales released on Switch 3 months ago and it is a big success.
Blossom Tales is an indie game published by FDG Entertainment and developed by Castle Pixel. On Steam it didnt do well and the developer wouldn’t be able to stay in business if it wasn’t for the Switch release. The Switch port has earned 20 times the life time Steam revenue in just 3 months. This is a huge success and more proof that Steam isn’t the end all for all indies when you have other platforms willing to pay for games at full price instead of waiting for discounts. Even on PC, it is great to see many games see releases on GOG and Origin instead of restricting sales to just Steam.
#NintendoSwitch community is a blessing! #BlossomTales is now a turnaround story: Humble indie dev @castlepixel can stay in business and continue making games. Love y'all! 3 months #Switch revenues surpass #Steam lifetime revenues 20 times! pic.twitter.com/GxO88Zor12
