Shinobi Striker release date and Uzumaki edition announced

The latest game in the Naruto franchise juggernaut now has a release date, along with details on a plethora of other things.

First thing’s first, the game is out on August 31 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, and will come in standard and Uzumaki editions. The Uzumaki edition will contain the base game, the season pass and a figurine of Naruto and his son Boruto (I’ll never not be amazed at how dumb that name is).

The season pass will contain nine DLC packs as they get released and also athe Great Sages of Mount Myouboku accessory (nope, I have no idea either). If you pre-order the game you’ll gain access to Naruto’s 7th Hokage costumer and also early access to Pain.

You’ve probably already watched the trailer above, and most likely aren’t even reading this right now, I mean why would you? Anyway, if you skipped the trailer and are reading this instead you’ll find the trailer reveals two new characters in Gaara and Deidara. Gaara is the Kazekage of the sand village, and Deidara was the clay bomb user from Akatsuki.

The trailer also highlighted new modes like Flag Battle, where you need to steal the opposing team’s flags (very ninja like), a base battle where you fight to keep control of base areas, and combat battle, where it’s just an all-out brawl.

Anyway, just over three months to go for Naruto fans.
