Monster Hunter World: Iceborne PC release date announced

Capcom have announced that Monster Hunter: World players on PC will be transported to Hoarfrost Reach from January 9, 2020.

Iceborne comes with the biggest region in Monster Hunter: World to date. Iceborne includes new monsters and subspecies, new gameplay options and more.

Alongside the announcement is a new 4K trailer showing off all the new things you can expect in Iceborne.

PC players can expect to find new features like a high resolution texture pack, customizable graphic settings and DirectX 12 support. Mouse and keyboard controls have also been revamped to help with the new actions and abilities. Additional info on these new settings for PC can be found on the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne website.

There are a few pre-order options available for PC players, with an exclusive Yukumo Series layered armour set for those that pre-order early.

For those that already own Monster Hunter: World, Iceborne can be purchased as digital DLC for $39.99 / €39.99. A Digital Deluxe version containing Iceborne and a Iceborne Deluxe Kit DLC of cosmetic items comes in at $49.99 / €49.99.

For any new Monster Hunter: World players there is a Master Edition. This comes with the main game and the Iceborne expansion and will be available at launch for $59.99 / €59.99. The base game is required to play the Iceborne expansion.

New players will need to have completed the main story through to Hunter Rank 16 to access the Iceborne area.
