This week on Ding! Live!, the guys are talking about all of the news they can think of to talk about coming out of the MMO side of the game’s industry. This week the guys mainly talk about the games that they’ve been spending their time playing, with Martin playing hour upon hour of Defiance and Calvin delving into the strange, old-school – and decidedly Zelda-esque – world of Graal. They guys then talk about some news which mostly centres around some interesting ideas that The War Z developers are having about how to deal with cheaters. You’ll have to listen to the whole podcast to find out what the gang thought, which you can do by visiting GodisaGeek.com, listening on iTunes or on Stitcher.
This week on Ding! Live!, aside from all of the usual news, the guys also spend a great deal of time talking about the recently released third person MMO; Defiance. Adam has played the Xbox 360 version of the game, Calvin the PC with Martin rounding off the trio by having spent time with both versions of the game. You’ll have to listen to the whole podcast to find out what the gang thought, which you can do by visiting GodisaGeek.com, listening on iTunes or on Stitcher.
Spoiler Warning: Do not attempt to listen to this podcast unless you’ve completed BioShock Infinite.
Rather than the regular Friday show, Ding! was recorded live this past weekend. If you missed it, this is the archived version of the show.
This week the guys are talking about the plethora of news coming out of PAX East, a bunch of new trailers and some new content for older games before Martin goes on a fanboy-level gushing spree about a game that isn’t even out yet; Wildstar. The guys then move on to talking about Neverwinter, for which they recently live streamed the beta (see last week’s WeekenDing!) before Calvin talks about the recently announced expansion for Star Trek Online; Legacy of Romulus. There’s a lot to talk about too, so you’re getting a bumper edition of Ding! this week! Phew!
It’s finally time to unleash the beast within, as Calvin returns this week to host (Adam is still out sick) and talk about some SimCity. Joining Calv is fellow PC gaming superstar, Ben Skipper – who makes his debut.
On the 54th episode of Ding!, and the fifth episode of WeekenDing!, we join Calvin, Martin and Trey as they once again delve into the world of Forgotten Realms, specifically the new Cryptic and Perfect World MMO Neverwinter, this time taking a quick look at something called a Skirmish – essentially a shorter version of a dungeon, lasting about fifteen minutes – before join forces and taking on some quests; including a user created quest from The Foundry.
