New Star Wars: The Force Unleashed DLC

Earlier on today at Comic-Con LucasArts announced some new DLC for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed that got us rather excited. This new DLC will continue on from the ending (well one of the endings) of the original game and will once again see players take control of the Secret Apprentice aka Starkiller. This new story based content will see you venture to areas such as Hoth and Tattooine where you will “meet” with iconic characters such as Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker. The basic premise of the content (much like the original game) is “what if this happened instead?”, a question I’m sure all Star Wars fans have asked themselves at some point.

Personally I very much enjoyed The Force Unleashed, it was good game but flawed in places. LucasArts pretty much nailed the feeling of being a badass with force powers but a few annoying section plus a few glitches/bugs held the game back. The fact that the story was so good and felt like it could have actually been part of the movies is what was so great about the game. I know most of the GodisaGeek team are Star Wars fans so we very much welcome the news of this new DLC. 🙂

The DLC is due to be released this Autumn for the Xbox 360 and PS3 via their respective online services. It doesn’t end there though as LucasArts will also be bringing out Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition which will be available in stores around the same time. Initial reports suggest the “meeting” with Luke Skywalker will only be available as an “exclusive” level with the Ultimate Sith Edition but as usual we will let you know if we get anymore news on that matter. It has now been confirmed that the level with Luke Skywalker on Hoth will only be available with the Ultimate Sith Edition. No prices for the DLC or the Ultimate Sith Edition have been announced yet but as soon we find out we will let you know. For now, enjoy the trailer and ask yourself “what if…….?”

WARNING: You probably shouldn’t watch this trailer unless you have finished the first game, there are a few spoilers nested within.
