Germany is now biggest market in Europe

Germany do it again!

Germany do it again!

The UK is no longer officially the biggest gaming market in Europe, that title  now belongs to Germany. Yes, once again we have lost out to Germany but hey at least this time it wasn’t on penalties eh?!

Why has this happened though? Well the weak pound is the main reason. In the current economic climate with a weak pound and rising prices, gaming sales have sharply declined in the UK. Saying that though we are not the only ones who have seen gaming sales decline, Spain and France have also “suffered”. On the other hand, along with Germany, the markets in Sweden and Holland have both seen a rise gaming sales.

We must take our place at the top back I say, otherwise we will have to hope we beat Germany at football to regain some pride and we all know the chances of that are pretty slim!  So, what you waiting for?! Go out and buy those games!
