Naughty Dog Respond to Multiplayer Complaints in Uncharted 2

by on November 24, 2009

In the last update for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Naughty Dog added a penalty for quitting online matches, deducting $40,000 for leaving a game, whether it was a Internet issue or your system froze. It’s fair if you quit the game deliberately, but for other issues its not. The update has resulted in many users complaining about the new rule, but unfortunately, Naughty Dog are standing their ground.

.

Arne Meyer of Naughty Dog responded to the complaints, saying:

“Currently we’re confident we’ve made the right decision regarding penalties for leaving the match—remember you don’t get docked any cash for the FIRST time. We’re keeping a close eye on in-game stats and forums and we will make adjustments if and when we feel they are warranted.”

For the moment, you will just have to deal with losing $40,000 everytime you lose your Internet connection or your system freezes. For sore losers, it serves you right!
