E3 2010: Metal Gear Solid Rising Trailer

by on June 14, 2010

E3 has started and Microsoft have kicked us off with their annual conference with only a few stand out titles (more on that later). On the top of this pile would undoubtedly be the new Metal Gear Solid: Rising trailer. If you needed any more proof that Kojima and co have decided to shy away from “Tactical Espionage” in their latest project, then this is it. The trailer begins with Raiden being stalked by what looks like a more advanced version of the Gekko’s found in Metal Gear Solid 4. Raiden’s shadow streaks across the screen and then things kick off as the man himself proceeds to slice the enemy into pieces. The words “Zan-Datsu” (cut/behead-take) flash across the screen and then the carnage ensues. The rest of the trailer shows Raiden on a killing spree slicing everything in his path including the environment, which seems to display the main gameplay mechanic of the new title. It would appear everything is destructible and nothing is safe in the Metal Gear Solid: Rising world, not even the watermelons. We at Godisageek are most definitely looking forward to this title and we hope you are too, take a look at the trailer and prepare to cut EVERYTHING!
