Telltale GamesIn a very surprising announcement, Telltale Games – famous for their heroic efforts to bring PC adventure gaming back from the dead – has announced that in a new partnership with NBC, they will be bringing us an series of episodic downloadable Jurassic Park adventure games.

Telltale Games – which consists largely of ex-Lucasarts employees – revived both Sam & Max and the Monkey Island series of games in recent years. These games have eventually been released across PC & Mac, Wii, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. So they are used to handling licensed IP, but nothing as huge as the blockbuster franchise that is Jurassic Park.

As revealed in the latest issue of Game Informer Magazine, Telltale CEO Dan Conners tells that their games will “deliver on the tension and drama of the series creating the ultimate cinematic adventure.”

Let’s just hope that this game can live up to expectations of the property, as almost every other Jurassic Park game released has been underwhelming. Time to bring this gaming franchise back from the brink of extinction.
