Acclaimed Cricket Sim Heads To Android

Square Enix Have today announced that the critically acclaimed cricket simulation Big Cup Cricket is now available for the Android OS. We have more on this news below!

Beautiful Game Studios, part of Square Enix Europe today announced that the critically acclaimed BIG CUP CRICKET will be stepping up to the Android crease. BIG CUP CRICKET is Beautiful Game Studio’s first release on the Android platform and two versions are planned; an ad-powered free version, and an upgraded premium version priced at £3.00 without advertising.

Previously released on iOS, BIG CUP CRICKET was declared ‘the best cricket sim on the App Store’ by The Guardian Tech Blog. The Android version will be available in Europe, North America and Canada with the game featuring both challenge and tournament modes, in which players can swipe and flick to control direction, speed and position of both bat and ball to take on the best teams in the world.

“We’ve seen a rapid uptake of Google’s Android OS-based smart phones within our core demographic,” said Roy Meredith, General Manager at Beautiful Game Studios. “BIG CUP CRICKET has already proven popular on iOS for its fun, arcade style of play, and we’re looking to expand on its successes on the Android Marketplace.”
