Even More New Dead Island Screenshots Shuffle Forward

by on March 24, 2011

After years of silent production, where many in the industry assumed that the game had been canned, Techland and Deep Silver now seem to be drip-feeding us a constant stream of images from upcoming Zombie Survival game Dead Island. Obviously not wanting the buzz created by the teaser trailer to die away, the team have been busy showing off the game in previews and letting the public get a look at more and more images taken from the game. And from what we have seen so far, this is shaping up to be an interesting title that hopefully isn’t just remembered for having a pretty cinematic.

In this latest set of images, we get a look at the in-game first-person view that players will be using, and we also get another look at the straightjacket-bound special Zombie breed that we got a glimpse of last week. As opposed to the screenshots we saw then, where the Zombie appeared to be gigantic and tower over the surrounding cars, the second shot released today gives us a better idea of scale and we can see  he isn’t quite as enormous as was initially thought – although you still wouldn’t want to get in his way! The final image shows us an unspoiled example of the island paradise, that has now been lost to the Zombie outbreak, as it was in its prime.
