Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta Passes One Million Players, New Map Coming This Sunday

by on July 8, 2011

The Uncharted 3 multiplayer beta has been played by over one million unique gamers, according to Naughty Dog’s Community Strategist, Arne Meyer.

Speaking on the PlayStation Blog, Meyer said that the figure had been reached after the beta was opened up to the public on Tuesday, July 5th. “We couldn’t be prouder of our community coming out in such numbers to play in the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta.” Said Meyer.

This coming week will be the final week in the beta, which will end on Thursday, July 14th.

There will be even more added to the beta on Sunday, July 10th, which will feature the never before seen Yemen map, as well as a new Co-op Adventure mode. Those who are fans of the Chateau map might want to play it some more, as it is making way for Yemen come Sunday.

Those who manage to rank up to level 25 in the beta will receive a nice injection of in-game cash on the day that Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception hits shelves, so there is still plenty of reason to be playing.

You can check out our beta impressions here. We like it a lot.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is set to release November 2, 2011, exclusively for PlayStation 3.
